GoShopUs Gets Personal On Facebook

Now it’s even easier to find GoShopUs.com on Facebook.

In June, the discount home décor e-retailer launched two Facebook vanity URLs—Profile Page http://facebook.com/GoShopUs and Fan Page http://facebook.com/GoShopUsFans.

Having a personal username provides Facebook users with a simple way of finding friends and organizations. GoShopUs first learned about the introduction of Facebook’s optional vanity usernames on Mashable, the world's largest social media and Web 2.0 news blog.

When the clock struck 12:01am EST on Saturday, June 13, 2009, anxious Facebook users – on a first come, first serve basis – frenzied to grab their free personal destination URLs. And, GoShopUs.com was part of the action! In the first day, more than 3 million usernames were claimed.

Facebook Fan Pages with at least 100 supporters were allowed to register a vanity Fan Page URL beginning on Sunday, June 28. The following day, GoShopUs.com Fan Page launched their new URL.

In May, GoShopUs.com joined the Twitter community and can be followed at http://twitter.com/GoShopUs.
